| Thank you visiting the Wesley UMC website!
We hope that you are able to gain a glimpse of the many opportunities for
worship, growth in faith, fellowship and service that are available through
this church. No website, however, can communicate the kind of warmth
and welcome you will experience when you come to the church for worship
and/or time of fellowship. So we invite you to come and experience for yourself
the warm and welcoming spirit present at Wesley UMC. Our prayer and
our hope is that you will experience the presence of Jesus Christ in the
sanctuary, Sunday School rooms, fellowship hall, church enterance and the
parking lot. There's A Place For You at Wesley United Methodist
Church!
WONDERFUL
WEDNESDAYS AT WESLEY
Wonderful
Wednesdays at Wesley is our mid-week ministry. Supper is served
from 5:30-6:15 p.m. The cost is $4.00 per person or $10.00 per family.
Following the meal, we have a time of singing and bible study which is
led by the pastor. During the fall season, the study will be "
The Bible in Time". This study examines the biblical events
as they unfolded chronologically. "Good News" is our mid-week
ministry for children ages infant - 6th grade. Youth Group meets
on Wednesdays as well as Sundays. The Wednesday night is primarily
a time for the youth to touch base during the week, but there is a lesson
as well which is led by our youth worker.

Becoming
a United Methodist
There are three ways to become a member of the United Methodist Church:
- By Profession of Faith. The inquirer professes faith
in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, professes belief in the Old and
New Testaments as containing God's word, and vows with God's help
to live a Christian life. Following this profession, the inquirer
is baptized as a sign of covenant which acknowledges God's love, grace,
and forgiveness of sin.
- By Moving Membership from Another United Methodist Church. The
inquirer is received into the church with profession and baptism acknowledged
to the congregation.
- By Moving Membership from Another Denomination. The
inquirer is asked to renew his or her profession of faith. Since baptism
is an acknowledgement of God's love and forgiveness, re-baptism is
not necessary. In each case. The inquirer makes a vow of loyalty to
the Church.
